band: Fitzkee Brothers

My name is Alex Fitzkee and I am 16 years old. I’ve been playing drums and been in bands for most of my life. From the beginning I was heavily inspired by the likes of John Bonham, Mitch Mitchell and Keith Moon, which caused me to chase a more explosive style of drumming. In addition to drumming, I’m also a singer and songwriter with an album, EP and several singles to my name. I’ve gone through many bands, but I have always been accompanied by my brother, who sings and plays bass guitar. Because of this, we decided to make our own band with the title of “Fitzkee Brothers”. Since this change we won “fan favorite awards”, played some great venues and have been able to jam with Post Malone, Jamie Mclean, Robert Randolph, Bruce Katz and have toured with Melody Trucks. Last year I became the full-time drummer for “Bad River” whose members include Paul Cullen (Bad Company), Tony Sciuto (Little River Band) and international recording star Robbie LaBlanc. I recently played a large benefit concert with Eliot Lewis (Hall & Oats) and “Bad River” that was an amazing experience. My brother and I grew up with a love for hard rock, grunge and punk rock, but also have a deep passion for southern rock, funk and jam bands. This is why our jam band-inspired music contains heaping amounts of energy, funk and a unique sound.
