ARTIST PROFILE
Antonio Guerrero
Mexico City, Mexico
band: Anima Tempo // Session Drummer
STICK SIZE: 5B
Born in Mexico City, I have been involved in music since young age.
Drums, guitar and percussions came to me at around the age of 15, studying in different
schools of music, engineering and production as well as with private teachers.
In 2010, I joined ANIMA TEMPO, progressive experimental death band based in Mexico City,
where I have developed the technical and virtuosic aspects of the instrument through the years, having recorded 2 LPs and active touring around Mexico, Central America, Europe and Japan.
Press quotes & testimonials
“Anima Tempo wraps the listener into a trance that at the rhythm of odd time signatures, leads to pharaoh’s lands, where all their skillful artillery is displayed”
The Infinite Eye (Ft.
Anima Tempo succeeded to avoid a prejudical approach the majority of bands of the similar genre orientation have implied in their music.
WHY DO YOU PLAY COLLISION?
I currently play 5B wooden tip sticks.
The main thing I love about them is the durability as they can handle and resist several shows in a row during tour without breaking. The weight is very balanced with a very good quality material.
What I have struggled with them is the fact that I sweat a lot and I might need a type of cover on the sticks to make the surface more sticky so they dont slip my hands during marathonic tour drumming. A sort of cover or treatment to the finish would be perfecto for drummers whose hands sweat significantly.
