Ari Roinila
Mishawaka, Indiana, USA
band: Of Saints And Scoundrels
STICK SIZE: 5b
My name is Ari Roinila. I’m a Canadian-born drummer who was introduced to the instrument at a very young age. Always being influenced by music in my family, I quickly grew to enjoy drumming and pursued it through education in middle and high school, as well as in college. These percussion fundamentals lead to me being able to be a proficient drummer on the drum kit. After college, n 2016, I joined Of Saints And Scoundrels with a guitarist from a worship team that I had played on. We had natural chemistry and figured now, outside of college, we had the time to pursue music in a secular way. Once we found a bassist and lead guitarist, we had all the pieces together to create a band. We began to explore our influences and sound over time and establish ourselves in the local music scene as “the band that breaks the mold”. Our eclectic sound of indie rock with blues and soul influences has helped us play many shows with Collision endorsed bands such as Two-Faced Wilson from Michigan, and many many more. We’ve performed many times at the famous Music Factory in Battle Creek, MI as well as the Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac, MI. We play whenever we can and look forward to the future as local music continues to bolster the industry and create change at its roots.
WHY DO YOU PLAY COLLISION?
I have played with many different brand drumsticks and different sizes. After trying the standard 5B from Collision, it was instantly apparent that the balance and build of the sticks were different from “big brand” sticks. My favorite thing about Collision is the dedication to the player himself. We aren’t just faces or dollar signs. We are the future of the company, and that is recognized through the companies attitude and mission. I recommend Collision to every drummer I know because of the superior quality and down to earth customer service.
