DaRon Seigler-King aka The DMVNephew was born July 18th, 1983 and is a native Washingtonian. He was born into a family of musicians and singers and began playing drums at the tender age of 6. His mother is a singer, his father was a guitarist, his grandmother was a singer and songwriter, his uncle was a singer, songwriter, producer and musician. Throughout his younger years he traveled with his family and continued to play drums any chance he got. While in high school he was a member of his high school pep band. Seigler went on to win 2nd place in the Maryland Region for the Guitar Center Drum Off in 2013.
Over the years DaRon has played for many national artists; Q Parker from 112, RL from Next, CeCe Penistone, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Tony Terry, J.J. Hairston, The Soul Messengerz and Big Daddy Kane, just to name a few. He’s played drums for many local artists as well to include DreamTeam, Another Sound, Future Band, Beautiful Experience, Facez You Know and more. As a child and well into present day, DaRon has spent countless years playing drums with many quartet groups across the metropolitan area such as: The Singing Angels, The Gospel Pearls, The Soul Messengerz, Chevela and the Spiritual Voices, Angela Robinson and High Praise, James Hillian and Company, The Singing Disciples and many more! He is the founder of the gospel band known as The Seek and Find Project whose debut album charted on Billboards gospel charts and is on iTunes. More recently he’s birthed The Kings Tribute Band who sold out their first show at The Blue Dolphin.
