I’m Daryl Johnson, but everyone just simply calls me DJ. I am a drummer in the Atlanta, Georgia area. My main genres include gospel, soul, R&B and hip hop. However as a lover of music, I often expand myself and explore other genres ie rock, country, and jazz in my leisure. I have been playing the drums since the age of 5 and openly around the age of 13, with humble beginnings in the church. I have played locally in and around Atlanta. Currently, I am the drummer for The Katfish Jenkins Band and for New Life Christian Church located in McDonough, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta.
The Katfish Jenkins Band has presented me with the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of singers, songwriters, MC’s and musicians as we bring different styles into one amazing bowl of musical gumbo. The opportunity to be heard and observed among this amazing group of talent will soon be available on all media platforms, accompanied by stage appearances near and far.
I am also an endorsee of Empire Ears, an emerging In-Ear-Monitor company with cutting edge technology geared to create the ultimate listening experience for any artist.

My favorite thing about the Collision brand is the willingness to work with small artist. Collision’s vision to grow an artist while it grows as a company is what appeals to me. It is truly a family atmosphere with a relationship to push everyone to success.
