My name is Jacob Palmer, I am 29 years old and residing in Sarasota, Fl with my wife and three children. Originally born in Wichita, Ks and then moving to Sand Springs, Ok which is where I really started getting serious about drumming. I have been playing drums for over 20 years, mostly playing in church throughout middle school and high school along with some outings with my family in which we had a family church band that would travel on occasions. In 2011 I moved to Southwest Florida with my parents in my junior year of high school. In 2017 I had the opportunity to play with IHOPKC worship leader, Jon Thurlow which was a fun experience to be able to play with someone as professional as him. In 2020 and 2021 I played drums for a local mega church in Port Charlotte called New Day Christian Church, playing 4 weekend services at the time, it really stretched me as a drummer. Then in March of 2021 my wife and I were called to the Sarasota House Of Prayer which is where I currently regularly attend and play drums at not just for the weekend service, but also the prayer room hours during the week, playing 5 times a week at the House of Prayer. I currently also play for First Sarasota Baptist Church which is a local mega church here in Sarasota, I play for the modern service at 9 am on Sunday mornings in which we use a lot of multi tracks but on the other hand at the House of Prayer we do more spontaneous with click only. I also currently gig with a local Sarasota artist named Me Umbra who is locally known really well, and we have had the opportunity to play Sarasotas biggest stage at an event called Ringling Underground at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. In 2022 I had the opportunity to play for another IHOPKC artist, Zac Dinsmore in Erbil, Iraq and in 2023 I have had the opportunity to play with christian rapper Zauntee and former Newsong singer Charles Billingsley. At the House of Prayer we are currently working on our second worship album as we will be recording soon.
