Growing up in Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church in DeFuniak Springs FL, I developed an interest in playing the drums. As a young musician, I took brief lessons with Ms. Lee at Walton Music Store where I learned the fundamentals of rudiments. At Walton Middle School, I played the concert snare drum in the winter band under the leadership of Ms. Rafferty. In 2017, I served as the guest drummer for Dr. Emorja Roberson’s “Weekend of Worship” conference at First Baptist Church. I have also had the opportunity to perform with a variety of community gospel ensembles throughout the North Florida region. My musicianship is influenced by Ronald Shider, Brent Easton, and Calvin Rodgers.
