band: Shadow Smile
STICK SIZE: 2B
I first started playing drums when I was 11 years old, I had been asking for lessons for around 2 years before finally getting them and never looked back. Shadow Smile formed in 2019. We are made up of Connor McGovern (Vocals), Adam Smith (Guitar), Ethan Goebel-Todd (Bass) and myself on the drums. We released our first single ‘Digital God’ months after starting, to which we received a huge welcoming reception. Ever since then, the bands audience has continued to grow as our music evolved. We went onto play Winter Rocks Festival, supporting such names as The Quireboys, Skidrow, and more. In August 2023, we released our debut and fully crowdfunded album, Signed In Blood to which Radio stations such as BBC and Kerrang! have aired multiple tracks. In September 2023, we played our first headline show for the launch of the album at Corporation, Sheffield, receiving support from Saints Among Us, Ashes of Ire and Blood Stained Reputation.
“Quotes & Testimonials”
“This is a hell of a debut and launch show that would be difficult to match” – Metalplanetmusic.com “They all have a great rapport with the audience and hold them in the palm of their hands. This band have an extraordinary future ahead of them surely” – Metalplanetmusic.com “Such a great gig with great company” – Shadow Fest Promotions “The perfect debut album, exceeding all expectations, solidifying its place among this year’s best new releases” – www.novacaine.co.uk “This was amazing. Having been a fan of the band for a little while now, my own anticipation for this release was pretty high. Still, Shadow Smile surpass it with ease. Not only is it a damn impressive collection of tracks, but it’s a thought-provoking concept album that all ties together perfectly. The word masterpiece is thrown around maybe a little too often these days, but I’ll be damned if this isn’t in that conversation. This will be on heavy rotation for me for months to come, I’m sure. The guys have put out on of the best debut albums I’ve ever heard. I can’t wait to hear it live at their launch next month” – Overtone Magazine
