Drummer, Vocalist, Teacher
I’m John and I’m a hugely passionate drummer, singer and teacher. I’ve been playing the drums for 40 years and been a profession musician for 34. I toured the world as an Army musician over a 22 year career leaving as Principal Percussionist of The Scots Guards Band. Since then I’ve played drums for many bands and artists, including an Arena tour opening for Take That playing in venues like The O2 Arena, Birmingham NEC and Manchester Arena. I teach drums in 2 schools and in my own studio The Drum Room Twickenham. I’m busy playing in 2 well established and successful tribute bands, Special Kinda Madness (Madness and The Specials) and Pulse (Pink Floyd)in venues such as The Alban Arena, The Leadmill, The Tramshed, Liverpool O2 Academy. Former students are now professional drummers in their own right including Louise Bartle of Bloc Party.
WHY DO YOU PLAY COLLISION?
5A Custom. My favourite thing about the Collision brand is that it has a family feel about it and everyone’s input it valued. I was really impressed with the company and it’s vision which made me very happy to come onboard as an artist. I would absolutely recommend Collision Drumsticks as they are extremely durable and great value for money.
