I am a drummer from central Texas and my name is Johnny Young. I started in jazz ensemble and orchestra in my early years and have been playing professionally for nearly 40 years. I currently am involved with a 90’s tribute band called ENinety3, a wedding and corporate party band called UptownATX, a Journey tribute band called Radio Journey, and am the lead trainer at the Drum Training Institute. Our Journey tribute band has amassed quite a following in Texas recently selling out large venues which is very exciting. I play PDP concept maple drums, Sabian cymbals, and Collision drumsticks at the over 40 shows I play every year that range from small clubs to large theaters.
