ARTIST PROFILE
Kevin “StikZ” Moore
Evanston Wyoming USA
band: The gleanerS
STICK SIZE: 7aR
Kevin Moore started playing drums in 1998. After trading his first car for his first drumset, there was no stopping this powerhouse. Traveling from the deserts of Arizona to the mountains of Wyoming, his musical influences were shaped by such artists as Tesla, Ozzy Osborne, Linkin Park, and Incubus. Once nestled in cowboy country he began to learn of the amazing country music that had helped shape the west. Leaning heavily into artists like Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniel’s Band, and Chris LeDoux, the sounds and size of his drumset slowly began to evolve. In the late 2010s he began a collaboration with the husband/wife duo of Zenada and Stephen Palmer creating the Heart of Arizona. The trio traveled all over the state playing many venues and shows such as Hops on Birch in Flagstaff and the Apache Gold casino. Returning to Wyoming during the pandemic he was introduced to Stephen Saletta and the gleanerS were born. Performing over 45 shows in 3 different states in 2022 alone, the band recorded and self released their debut album in June of 2023. Since then Kevin has been working with several new up and coming artists in addition to writing new material for the gleanerS sophomore effort.
WHY DO YOU PLAY COLLISION?
Currently I am playing the 7ar size sticks. Light enough for ghost notes and durable enough to crash through the music when needed. My favorite thing about the Collision brand is durability and balance. I would recommend Collision drumsticks to any drummer looking for a brand that stands behind their product as well as producing an incredible sticks that performs in all scenarios.
