band: Syringe
STICK SIZE: 7A
For the last 8 years, I’ve been the drummer for a band called Syringe. With singer Patrick Nicholls, bassist Bill Murray, guitarists David Reichman and Erik Curry, and band manager Alyssa Norman, I have had the pleasure to play for a large part of Northeast Ohio. Venues we have frequented include but are not limited to the Agora Theater & Ballroom, the Empire Concert Club & Bar, and The Vortex. Our industrial metal band has headlined many local shows, along with being direct support for larger acts, such as Mushroomhead, En Esch, and Davey Suicide.
I’ve been a drummer since the age of 15, and have enjoyed every opportunity I’ve been given to grow and hone my craft, and the members of Syringe have grown close enough for me to call family. One of my most notable achievements is the annual event I personally host in support of JDRF – Throwdown For A Cure. With two members of the band diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, myself being one of them, this cause is close to my heart. The event wouldn’t be possible without the support of my band and our mutual friends.
So this is me, and I am honored to receive the endorsement of Collision Drumsticks. I can’t wait to see what the future brings!
WHY DO YOU PLAY COLLISION?
The stick size I’ve chosen to use is the 7A. They are a bit thicker and longer than the 7As I played before, but that actually helps with getting around the kit. Durability: I play a lot of snare drum and the middle section of sticks I’ve used in the past always started splitting fairly quick. The Collision sticks have taken as much of a beating and have yet to split. I will recommend Collision to any drummer whom I get into a stick conversation with.
