I’ve been playing drums for 10 years now, and over the years, I’ve developed my own style of playing from the various genres of music I’ve grown up with. From Green Day and Avenged Sevenfold in the early days, to Architects and Slipknot today, I’d like to believe I have a unique sound when behind a kit. My band, I Digress, recently won a battle of the bands contest held by local radio station, The Wave, who are very well known in the South Wales area. As a result, on the 12th of July we get to support the feeling and play to an estimated 5k + people. We’ve supported bands like Winchester, Dream State, and Sumo Cyco in the past, and the list of notable bands is only going to get bigger as time goes on.
WHY DO YOU PLAY COLLISION?
So I play the 5A Reach models, which for me are the perfect balance between length and width. They’re holding up SUPER well in terms of durability, and I’ve found they grip to my hands better than previous sticks I’ve used, thus playing faster songs is easier as im not dropping sticks. My favourite thing about the brand is how eager they are to help you grow, it’s not about money or their own benefits, they strive to help you become a better player and social presence. So far, I’ve had plenty of help when it comes to ordering and the interviews I’ve had were very informative and useful. I would without a doubt recommend this brand to any other drummer, I suppose it’s convenient that my brother, Kian, also uses these sticks, maybe he’s a star in the making 😉
“I Digress have been tearing up the scene with their high energy sets and great sound for the last year.”
“I wish my stomach looked like that band’s sound”
