ARTIST PROFILE
Masked Guy Drums
west hertfordshire, uk
band: session drummer
STICK SIZE: 7A
I grew up around London and surrounding areas. When I was 9, I heard slipknot’s self titled album, and immediately had a love for the drums. I started playing when I was 12, and have continued to do so for the last 18 years. I have been in more bands than I can count since I was 13, and didn’t really hit my growing point until I left college. from the age’s of 17 – 20, I was in a thrash metal band that pushed me to improve on levels that I never knew possible. Since then, I’ve had a few bands that have helped me push myself even further along.
I’ve played stages all over, and even a few Uk festivals, and although I’m currently pursuing session work, I plan to one day get back out on stage when I’ve found the right band.
My channel mostly features covers of metal and pop-punk tracks. But every now and then I put out a couple of out of the box ideas to keep it fresh. All of my covers are recorded in one take using hand held devices because those are the only resources I currently have access to, but plan to one day upgrade to a more professional setting.
WHY DO YOU PLAY COLLISION?
I exclusively use 7A sticks. My favourite thing about Collision sticks is that you practically need a chainsaw to break these absolute units! One pair lasted me 4 months before one of them broke. Their durability literally cannot be matched, even by a certain brands metal sticks! On top of that, Collision themselves are such a brilliant company in terms of looking out for their customers and fans.
I’d recommend Collision based on 2 things:
The fact that the sticks must have been forged in the heart of a dying star, similar to Mjolnir
And the fact that they care about their community.
