Im a punk rock drummer that’s always been the genre i lean more towards, i’ve been playing drums for about 6 years and have already had life changing things happens to me. i joined my first band at 18 and they we’re already a pretty well known country band in the amarillo/canyon area so i was traveling a lot. I am now in a grunge gaze band with my best friends called bardown. for us only being a band for 6 months we’re already gaining momentum. the way this band came together is actually funny. i was working at ross and a mutual friend of the band had just started and he knew that i did music so he told me to come hang out and jam with his friends. i was very hesitant about it at first but i finally gave in. me and matthew, one of the singer/guitarist first met at his apartment and i was nervous but we instantly hit it off. we had a lot to drink that night and talked about starting a band. he knew another guitarist and someone that had just started bass, luckily they were best friends. at first our band was gonna be called hot girls kissing but we thought long and hard about it and decided on bardown instead. i met sam and pookie(aka luke) the next jam sesh and we immediately hit it off also. we wrote a couple of songs the first jam session and some of those songs eventually turned out to be the songs on out new ep and eventually the rest that we wrote on an album. but for 5 months we’ve already had a lot of shows. been recognized and been in the studio and recorded our ep. i love every bit of it
