band: independent Drummer
STICK SIZE: 5A
I’m RIFF SUANDI from Singapore. I started drumming in 2002 with my grunge band, Muddybanks. I had a great time growing up with the band writing songs and playing live shows for about 6 years. We took a break from each other and I decided to front an alternative/rock band Valley Skies. Learning the guitar and singing was really challenging but I had my fun.In 2009, we ended both bands due to the enlistment of National Service. In 2013 after the military service, I decided to record myself drumming and express my passion on youtube.com/riffstheory and facebook.com/riffstheory.
My drum setup is a 4-piece kit with 14″ Hi-Hats, 16″ Crash, 18″ Crash and 21″ Ride.
WHY DO YOU PLAY COLLISION?
Collision Drumsticks is the brand to go to mainly because of the sticks and the support team. I’ve been using the 5A size and I love them. The sticks are durable yet comfortable. The Collision 5A drumsticks are slightly longer than other common 5A, which is good because I don’t have to hyper-extend my arms to reach for the crashes.
Secondly, the support team is doing well assisting both the artists and the consumers. They’re easy to reach, approachable and welcoming.
