A native of Torreon Mexico, Sergio began with music at an early age of 9, he began his passion for keyboards, as his grandfather was a great pianist, and his father is currently a guitarist, so It was almost inevitable for him to follow these steps because he was always surrounded by music; Not long after, Sergio discovered that he had a talent for rhythm. He then formed his first band in High School, which made him realize that the stage would be the place where he Would spent the rest of his life. His learning at first was largely self-taught, and learned techniques from different books, videos, and drummers he admired; His influences range from: Buddy Rich, Neil Peart, Vinnie Collaiuta, Dave Weckl, Lars Ulrich, Nick Menza, Mike Portnoy, Tommy Lee, John Bonham, Mikkey Dee, Charly Benante, Steve Smith, Dave Lombardo, Mike Mangini, Simon Phillips, amongst others. He achieved technical perfection with teachers from local schools and attending seminars of great drummers like Waldo Madera, Dave Weckl, Kenny Aronoff, etc .. Since 1989, he joined several rock bands and went to different parts of the country bringing his original music; some importants bands were: Contraseña, Vertigo, Necsuz, Dali, Valiant. Endorsed by Soultone Cymbals since 2010 Currently drummer in Laguna (hard rock band) since 2019, playing the most important in Rock Fests like Knotfest meets Forcefest 2019 in Mexico City, Hell and Heaven 2020, Toluca Mx, before de Pandemic; no long after starting to rec the second album, now produced by Jimmy Westerlund (One Desire) and waiting for release before this year ends or the beginning 2024
