ARTIST PROFILE
Joshua Clay
Queens New York USA
band: Terryle Lee and Le Sillion
STICK SIZE: 7AR
I started Playing drums at the age of 13 at New Zion Church of Christ in Queens New York. Since then Ive played for several different church ministries and have played several different genres of music ranging from R&B, hip hop, rock, reggae, soca and jazz. I pride myself on being a groove oriented pocket drummer. To me there is nothing more important than establishing the groove and pulse of a song and ensuring that the musical atmosphere feels good. My influences consist of a long list of gospel and secular drummers such as Jeff Pacarro, Bernard Purdie, Steve Gadd, Jon Sugarfoot Moffett, Jeff Davis and Calvin Napper just to name a few.
I currently am the drummer for NY Love Fellowship ministries in Brooklyn NY. I am also the drummer for an R&B band called Terryle Lee & Le’Sillion (also based out of New York). We’re currently doing shows all throughout the tri state area. We regularly perform at venues such as The Shrine, Silvana and The Groove in Manhattan NY. We have also performed at the Amphitheater in the Bronx NY and will be doing a musical performance on a show called “Sounds from El Barrio on the (MNN) Manhattan Neighborhood Network YouTube Channel. If you’d like to support us our music can purchased on all platforms were music is sold.
WHY DO YOU PLAY COLLISION?
I play a size 7AR. I love the rebound of the stick, the length and the weight distribution. Id recomend Drumsticks because of the stick length and rebound. These sticks are excellent for moving around the the kit.
