Matt marched in his high school drumline under the instruction of Mike McIntosh, and majored Music Engineering & Technology at Ball State University.
Over the years Matt played in numerous bands ranging from garages to regional touring. His current band, Rainchild, has been together for 9 years. They have a full-length album, “Nebula”, as well as an acoustic EP, “Thorns”, and a few singles available on all major streaming platforms. The bassist for the band was also originally one of Matt’s percussion students at the local Rock School. Over the last few years they have been lucky enough to open for some major acts such as: Robby Krieger (of The Doors), Puddle of Mudd, Drowning Pool, Saliva, and HED(PE). The band is currently endorsed by Austin Speaker Works and D&A Guitar Gear.

WHY DO YOU PLAY COLLISION?
I am currently playing the 5A Reach.
My favorite thing about the brand is the way they are supporting artists at every level of their career, not just the ones who are already famous.
I would recommend Collision to any drummer because the sticks are incredibly comfortable to play and very durable.
