ARTIST PROFILE
Matthew Pawlowski
Franklin, Ohio USA
band: Deceiving The Spectre
STICK SIZE: 5a // 5b
My name is Matthew Pawlowski and I’ve been a drummer off and on for 25 years or so. I got my inspiration from my family and their mixed genres at a young age. My grandfather with his Beatles and Monkees influence. My father with his Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd influence and my mother with her Metallica and Pantera influence. Learning these styles of playing led me to the heavier side of music which including bands like Lamb of God, Slipknot, In flames etc. Years of practice led me to looking for a band to further myself as a musician. I joined a band called Deceiving The Spectre with vocalist Keith Hamilton and guitarist Corey Bates. They welcomed me into the brotherhood of musicians almost a year ago and since then we have played a show at The Mad Frog in Cincinnati and we frequently play at Legends Bar and Venue in Cincinnati. We have 4 shows lined up for the next couple months with bands such as Worm Shepherd, Filth, Left To Suffer and Hunt The Dinosaur and more to be announced. We just played a show with our new brothers What Drives The Weak and Dreaded Dale at Legends. On top of playing shows we continue to make new singles that we will be dropping soon and new videos as well. We currently have a video we just released a couple months ago called Carried By None on YouTube. Give it a listen and we hope you enjoy and follow us for future releases.
WHY DO YOU PLAY COLLISION?
I play 5A or 5B sticks. The thing I love the most about Collision is the durability of the sticks. Not only are they durable but also perfectly weighted. If you’re tired of looking for a stick that won’t break and won’t throw off your playing then I recommend these awesome sticks.
