Undoubtedly durable, Perfectly weighted and Unbelievably unique.
Before swapping to Collision, I originally played ProMark 2Bs and would often be left disappointed by how quickly they would splinter and break. As I haven’t seen the size “5AR” from any other company I thought it would be something new to try out and I was pleasantly surprised.
Within a week the sticks had arrived, ready to be taken to London for my weeks worth of gigs. Surprised at how thin yet heavy the sticks were I decided to test the durability by hitting the kit as hard as I could. I am talking JOHN BONHAM DENMARK 1969 LEVELS OF POWER BEHIND MY STICKS and they didn’t even splinter. On top of this the weight of the stick was perfect, Heavy enough to lay out hard rock grooves but light enough to play traditional grip funk grooves.
I would fully recommend that everyone tries these sticks when swapping to Collision as I firmly believe that anyone would be exceptionally overjoyed by the results.

Resilient and well-playing, sums these up pretty well. To elaborate- I don’t happen to have a very light touch when it comes to rimshots and most stick die on me within two to three weeks. The 5AR’s not only haven’t broken but they’re barely showing signs of being played.
And on top of apparently being built from vibranium they feel great to play, they’ve got enough length to allow you to choke up on the stick or let it loose on demand.

Best drumsticks I ever used!! I am impressed with how they feel, with the rebound and the durability. First time I used the 5AR impressed me so much on how durable they are and have now become my No.1 choice of a pair of sticks. The 5AR sticks are incredibly lengthy and feels amazing to use! I honestly can’t believe how durable these sticks are! I have been using one pair for repeated shows, practices, and studio time with my band. Mind you my band I play for is a hardcore band so “play hard, play fast!” And I just am amazed that they haven’t even shown signs of them breaking on me yet! At the same time they don’t weigh me down and give great rebound, giving that perfect density I’ve been longing for in a stick! I also like how long they are as I’m not the biggest guy around and don’t need to hunch over my kit as much anymore. I recommend them to other drummers I see at shows and stand proudly behind collision on these unique sticks!

I used Vic Firth 5A Extreme’s before swapping to Collision, and would spend a fortune on re-buying, because I’d break one so often, sometimes manufacturer errors, mostly just wear and tear. But since switching, I can honestly say, hand on heart, I’ve broken 3 sticks… Out of like 8 pairs between me and my bro who also plays.
They feel great to hold, they dont have unnecessary lacquer or coatings like some sticks which make them feel like holding jelly. There’s a perfect amount of grip no matter how sweaty you are.
Would i recommend these sticks? Uh, Duh, I’d be mad not to, they are honestly the way forward, and it’s awesome to have such a supportive team behind the scenes to talk to regarding the sticks too.

Best Drumsticks hands down! I’ve made this stick my signature one and I’ve had no regrets. My play style is more relaxed and calm, so the extra reach on these sticks help so much with my playing. The durability is also something worth mentioning, I still have my first pair with little to no dents and chips. If they feel good, you play good and these sticks do the trick! I originally tried Collision 5AR’s back in 2016 and haven’t been able to play any other sticks since.
The main things for me was the durability when playing rock music as I hit quite hard but also the versatility for playing other styles.
I struggle with having small hands but needing extra length, so a regular 5B just doesn’t cut it for me. I love the slimmer feel of the 5A with the extended reach of the 5AR. I have always been very impressed by the smooth finish of the sticks – it makes it very comfortable.

I just got a set of 5Ar and 7a to try out. At first i did not know what to think as iv been with a different brand of sticks for years.
I picked 2 of the most heaviest songs in my metal bands setlist and began to play at the end i was blown away at how durable and musical the sticks were no chipping or sawdust at all.
I then began play the set which consist of 10 songs I had a 7A in my left hand and 5Ar in right hand best match still no chipping.

The 5ARs are a fantastic combination of weight, balance, and robust durability.
I primarily play Metal (Tech/Death/Grind) so I was always on the search for sticks that were durable and well balanced for my style of playing. After rotating between a handful of different brands I found what I was looking for in the Collision 5ARs. The extra length and having a ‘heavy’ tip really benefits by providing power and comfortable balance at the same time. As for the durability – all I can say is I’m used to sticks cracking at the neck or taper after 6-8 hours of practice time and I’ve been using the same pair of 5ARs for almost 3 weeks for a play time total of ~25 hours. I’m confident in saying I don’t think I’ll find better sticks for my comfort and playing style.

5ARs are AMAZING!!! I absolutely love the extra length these stickers afford me. They let me hit those cymbals that are placed further out, and still have the light-weight feel if the 5A. No chips after hours of play. It’s a great design, and the red arrow looks great!!!

The story had changed and I switch between 5B Reach and 5AR have been using the same 5AR pair for 3 WEEKS , 3 WEEKS and still going strong .

The best sticks i ever tried!
They are a bit longer than normal 5A´s. With this extra length i get the perfect combination, no matter if I want to play loud and “hard hitting parts” or play smooth parts. The feeling of the sticks is outstanding and the balance of the sticks fits my style perfectly.
I would definitely recommend every drummer to give these sticks a try! You won´t regret it!

These are phenomenal sticks! I’ve played Vater since 2001. The last model I was playing from them was the Power 5A which had a little extra length. I was worried about finding another drumstick with that length. The Collision 5AR was the perfect switch. They’re built like tanks and have lasted me for months. They’re weighted perfectly and I get wonderful tones out them. You MUST try these sticks and see for yourself!
